The South Haven Boys & Girls Club recently conducted its sixth annual spelling bee. The words used were words provided by the Portage Townships elementary schools. Over 30 members competed in two divisions: 1st grade-3rd grade & 4th grade-6th grade.

Winners: 1st- 3rd grade: Hugo Moya, pictured. The winning word was remind.

4th-6th grade: Esperanza Ferrer, pictured. The winning word was fairground.
